Antique Farm MachineryAntique farm machinery comes in many different forms. However, for some the whole category falls into two main subdivisions. According to my father, antique farm machinery consists of Ford and John Deere vehicles. The rest just don’t really matter at all. Not everyone holds this philosophy as truth. There are some who find all different kinds of antique farm machinery but none have come as far as the Ford and John Deere models. That is, as far as my father is concerned. He is pretty divided in his dedication to these two manufacturers. There are those who take the subject of antique farm machinery lightly while others are quite serious about the topic. I am one who falls into the really doesn’t care category but I do have to admit that I am gaining interest in this subject. The argument is pretty basic for those who prefer John Deere antique farm machinery. This company had its focus on tractors and farming gear. Ford had primary interests in the automobile. According to my father both of these companies have always had a lot to offer. The antique farm machinery built by these corporations have stood the test of time and the Ford Motor Company and John Deere promise to be with us for many years to come. There are plenty of other types of antique farm machinery but none have come up in conversation with the guys. I guess that they need to sort out their arguments over the best of the best when it comes to old farming equipment. Then they will find something new to argue about.
